Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® STEP II
What Participants Will Learn…
- Everything they learn in the MBTI Step I program
- Clarifies preferences when the degree of preference is borderline or not clear (e.g. between extraversion and introversion),
- Shows how you may have elements "pulling" you in both directions
- Reveals subtle variations in two people with the same overall preference. (For example, not all extraverts are alike.)
Overview…
MBTI Step II extends the eight basic MBTI preferences to include twenty sub-scales that underpin these preferences. Since Step II introduces a deeper and more subtle understanding and application of type preference, we do not normally suggest this workshop for a group’s first exposure to the MBTI.
Other than a greater amount of time taken to explain type concepts and analyze the participants’ results, this session is designed similarly to the Step I program.
Points Regarding This Program…
- This program is recommended for groups whose participants have already been exposed to the Myers-Briggs and yet want to delve deeper into the application of type at work.
- We typically use Step II for senior-level management teams that will benefit immensely from seeing a composite of each manager's profile and discussing how this reflects his or her behavior in the team.
- You should plan for a full day workshop for Step II, if you want sufficient time to apply the results toward more effective working relationships and team functioning.
